Hamilton, Bermuda (Thursday, 28 May 2015) – Kevin Roberts, one of the founders of Air Care Limited, is to retire as Operations Manager, effective Friday, 29 May 2015. He is succeeded by William Rowse, a former owner of Arctic Air Conditioning, which merged with Air Care in 2009, and who has been the company’s Projects Manager.
Mr. Roberts was amongst a small group of people who bought Air Care in 1986, when there were 15 staff and four service vehicles; there are now 74 staff and 40 service vehicles. In the early days, the company’s focus was on commercial and residential project work, with a minor service focus. Today, Air Care specializes in maintaining facilities and their mechanical infrastructures through uniquely designed, customized and flexible preventive maintenance plans, delivering a comprehensive range of mechanical services, including equipment monitoring and sales, system installations and emergency repairs for both residential and large commercial facilities.
Air Care General Manager Brendan Stones made the announcement, saying, “We are grateful to Kevin for helping to develop Air Care into the successful company that it is today. We wish him well in his retirement, and look forward to William putting his vast experience to work as he takes on a new role.”
Mr. Roberts said, “I had the satisfaction of watching a fledgling company steadily grow into the organization that it is today with many Bermudians passing through the ranks. The experience of working with talented technicians, and providing mentoring and technical support to enable their growth and development has been rewarding, as has been the relationship with the team.”
Mr. Rowse said, “I look forward to building on Air Care’s solid foundation and strong customer relationships, as well as continuing to encourage Bermudians to pursue rewarding HVAC careers.”
